TIPS OF THE TRADE
All of these rules must be followed and are expected of all members joining this site in addition to Proboards Terms of Service. As Admin, I have a right to terminate any accounts that do no follow these guide lines, and your violation of Proboards ToS can put the site on it's own in jeopardy of deletion.
Play fair. This includes no God modding being allowed anywhere without permission prior from the other user. A god mod is taking control of another person’s character without giving them time to react. Would you like it if someone moved you along like a puppet without your consent? I think not.
Be respectful. It is not required that you have to be passive and buddies with everyone, but being intolerant is not allowed and is quite frankly rude. If you don’t agree with someone, either calmly talk it out or keep quiet. Thanks.
Please be literate. We won’t ask you to type a Shakespeare play every post (that is, unless you want to), but we would like it if you would use proper grammar and spelling. Chat speak is not allowed. Be remember while only roleplaying, you still are using actual countries and playing with real life factors. Don’t be disrespectful or make yourself to be a fool. While Google translate might be nice to have an authentic Spain, please also do not have whole entire posts of pure Spanish without any translation.
Word Count. A 175 word post is our requirement, and we may raise or lower it in time. This is to prevent one-liners and the such. I’m sorry if this is too high, but it’s how it goes.
No mature content. Proboards has issued a PG-13 rule, and if we don’t follow it, we get shut down, which isn’t too fun. If you seriously need to act out some hard-core stuff, please move it to PM or something of the sort. Have your thread go to black. Please and thank you. CHARACTERS
Obtaining. Before you apply for a character, read the rules and check the character index. We can’t have multiples of characters, and we don’t want to have to turn you down because you attempted to audition for non-available character.
Characters. Please stick to Hetalia canon. We don’t mean you have to do word for word, but we do not want an Austria that acts like America or vice versa. That would not be right. (Oh, I see what you did there Lili.) There is a complete character index here. Original Characters are allowed as long as you can provide a image visual of appearance, standard bio is still used.
Application must be followed. Please follow the character app. It’s easier for the mods, and it’s more likely to get accepted than if you don’t. Most of it is quite customizable, so please don't be afraid to make it the way you desire as long as it has the required information.
Threads. You may make any thread and mini-plot as you wish as long as it follows site rules. Here you have the ability to lock/unlock any threads that you have created, and we ask when a thread is inactive or completed you lock it so a moderator may move it to the archives for you.
One Character Only. Being only canons, there isn't that full of a roster to choose from, so only to be fair. However if you are interested in a second character, you may ask to create another with permission if you ask both Alfred and Lili. ACCOUNTS.
Register First. Only so that when you post an application you then have the ability to edit, and then to ensure you are doing all of it yourself.
Naming and that Jazz. Feel free to register as whatever you want. After being accepted, we ask that you just change your display name to reflect the human name of your character. If they don't have one, make it up.
Icon/Avatar. Doesn't really matter, though it does help if it is of the character you are roleplaying. Lazy admin doesn't care in the end though.
